Fort Pleasant
Old Fields, WV (circa 1834)
This project is a good example of a complete restoration of a collapsed gable end of a historic brick home in Old Fields, WV. The collapse was caused by voids in the brick walls and incompatible materials used in past restorations. The scope of work included new footings, shoring, documentation, dismantling, and reconstruction using salvaged brick and lime mortar.
